Dear Friend and Client,

      My wife decided that she wanted a pool. Since she's put up with more nonsense from me over the years than any person should, would or could, I said what the heck. Go pick out a pool, after all, no one is going to sell and deliver a pool at the beginning of September. I figured I was safe until at least April, maybe even May.

      Enter Steve Galderisi, owner of SwimKing Pools in Kingston. Finding Steve was no problem. He came highly recommended and referred by people I trust. So we went to see Steve. That was mistake #1.

      At first meeting Steve looked like a normal, reasonable businessperson.

      That was mistake #2.

      We told Steve what we thought we wanted and how - being the smart ass that I am - I understood, perfectly, that we couldn't possibly get a pool delivered and set up until next year.

      That was mistake #3.

      "No problem," said Steve, looking at my wife's hopeful little face, "I'll have the pool there next week."

      (Ouch!)

      I started backpedaling and babbling about money and waiting for assets to transfer and properties to close and blah, blah, blah...anything I could think of to stall this pool thing I had gotten myself into.

      Steve said, "Don't be concerned in the least. I know whom I'm dealing with. I'll bring the pool next week."

      (Damn!)

      Steve's crew brought over the pool, installed it professionally and meticulously, showed us exactly how to use and maintain it. Provided my wife with all the stuff she needed to get it up and running, and the rest is history. Moral of the story? Don't screw around with Steve. And keep your wife away from him.
